בשרשור שנסגר לגבי תאימות סוג הדייסק לכרטיס ה SS2 חלק מחברי הפורום טענו נכונה שדייסק 1.0 מתאים ללכרטיס.
עכשיו זה רשמי, באימייל אשר נשלח לי על ידי יצרן הכרטיס נקבע חד משמעית שדייסק 1.2 ו דייסק 1.1 לא מתאימים לכרטיס הלווין המיוצר על ידם.
להלן קטע מהמייל:
DiSEqC 1.2 is not supported by the SkyStar 2 TV PCI device. Only DiSEqC 1.0 is supported, so all DiSEqC 1.0 and 2.0 components can be operated with the card.

מסתבר שדייסק 2.0 תומך אף הוא!!!
מכיוון שקשה להשיג דייסק 1.0 וכנראה אין טעם מאחר ודייסק 2.0 די דומה לו שאלתי היא מה ההבדל בינהם?

אחרי לא מעט חיפושים מצאתי מה ההבדל בינהם אך אינני מבין מה זה!

DiSEqC 2.0 adds a return channel, used for getting information on the connected add-ons. It will inform the reciever, after sending a particular signal, about the amound and type of LNB's available and how they are interconnected.
Particular 2.0 applications (Next to the 1.0 applications):
- Reception of up to 4 sattelites
- Two way channel (info on what's connected to the receiver)
