"THE NIBELUNGEN" - THE SAT.1-TV-EVENT OF THE YEAR IN HDTVS
PROSIEBENSAT. 1 PRODUCTION AND SES ASTRA REALIZING PARALLEL RADIATION OVER ASTRA 19.2° EAST ON THAT 29. AND 30 NOVEMBER six weeks after the first parallel radiation of high resolution HDTVS (High definition Television) and the conventional digital standard solution the ProSiebenSat realizes. 1 production and SES ASTRA again some HDTVS/SDTV Simulcast in the German private Free-TV. On that 29th and 30 November is "the Nibelungen", the TV-Event of the year in Sat. 1 to received over ASTRA 19.2° east also in the new, high resolution HDTVS-standard.
Spectators who control suitable reception devices experience the filming of the epic Sat.1-Zweiteilers through the considerably better picture quality around Siegfried, Brunhild and the princess Kriemhild in unique Brillanz. The Event-production will transmit moreover acoustically 5.1 in Dolby digitally and brings therefore cinema quality into the living room. Technically the radiation resulted is passed parallel to the SD-signal, that film in the volume format HDCAM SR (1080i/50 Hz) and to the MPEG-2 HD Encoder with a data rate of ca. 1.4 Gbit/s delivered. The Unterföhringer business DPC (digitally Playout center) receives also the modulation and the Uplink of the HD-signal next to the re-Multiplexing and the DVB in conformity Signalisierung. The symbol rate amounts to 22 MSym/s. to receive is the HD-radiation of "the Nibelungen" over ASTRA Transponder no. 31 on the frequency 11,671 GHZS.
