1. Format a USB key with fat or fat32, not all pendrives works.
The partition have to be primary, extended and logical drives do not work.
I have tested with a free 128MB.

2. Copy the usb_update.img file to the root of the key.
If the file is a rar or zip file, unrar or unzip first.
If the file do not have this name, but usb_kernel_root_db.img or something, rename it.

4. Turn the box off

5. Put the USB key into the USB port of the box.

6a IP900
Press the powerbutton (front display) while you turn on with the power switch (backside).

6b IP9000
Press the powerbutton (front display) while you turn on with the power switch (backside),
when it shows booting in the display keep holding the power switch and puch the up arrow
under det front of the tuner (Remote will not work)

7. USB UPGRADE shows in the display, be patient and wait.

8. If E10 shows in the display, check that it is the right filename on the usbpendrive,
that it is not filled up with other stuff.
Try a different pendrive.

9. After a while ERASING 01, 02... is shown in the display, the FLASHING 01, 02, 03... shows in the display. (Can take som minutes if your pendrive is slow)

10. DO NOT TURN OF THE TUNER while ERASING or FLASHING is in the display.

11. When it says DONE in the display unplug the USB pendrive and hit the power button to reboot.
(Not the OK button since this make it flash again.

12. Finished.
