there is a loss on coax cables
depending on the quality and thicknes of the cable you are using you would lose aprox 15-30 db on 100 metres
your receiver require a minimum of 47 db to work properly.
the answer is yes, it can make the diference
if your cable run is to long, you can use a cheap IF line amplifier and gain the loss created on the run.
