DM 800HD wins DrDish award
DrDish Award the Oscar for the best HDTV receiver
Lünen, 14. March 2008. Dream Multimedia, the leading provider of Linux-based set-top boxes, is particularly pleased about winning the DrDish Television Awards 2008 for the DM 800HD. The latest addition to the Dreambox range was declared to bet the best HDTV receiver.
Each year, the DrDish team presents the coveted awards at the Cabsat trade show in Dubai to companies involved in satellite communications. According to Christian Mass, patron of the awards, who gave them their name, the award winners document increasingly their technological expertise in an international market.
At the Cabsat show in Dubai, Dream Multimedia presented the new DM 800HD to trade visitors. The latest Dreambox features an interchangeable modular tuner, and is ready for installation of a 2,5 inch hard drive. Both Ethernet and USB connections ensure optimum connectivity to a home network.
The powerful 300 MHz processor ensures ultra-fast switching times of less than a second. The 256 MB RAM and 64 MB flash memory capacity also ensure the DM 800HD provides extremely reliable, stable operations. A DVI interface provides the loss-free transmission of pictures to the flat screen. The DM 800HD will be available in the trade as of the beginning of April, the recommended retail price is 449 Euros.
